Product description

CITREM (food additive E472c) — citric acid esters of mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids — serves as an emulsifier and stabilizer for the food industry.

These citric acid esters are used to improve the structure, consistency, and stability of food products. The additive facilitates the uniform distribution of fat and moisture, enhances the texture of finished products, and extends their shelf life.

Key applications include: meat processing (pâtés, fat emulsions), sugar confectionery, fillings, margarines and spreads, desserts, ice cream, and various other food products.

CITREM is approved for use in baby food products.
