Georgia actively exports citrus fruits, primarily mandarins, which are one of the country's most recognizable exports. Cultivation is concentrated in Adjara and other coastal regions, where the climate ensures high sugar content and juiciness. Products are exported to the CIS countries and neighboring markets in seasonal volumes.
